A while ago I came up with an idea for a project that I’d like to do. The problem is it would be very hard for me to realize. Nonetheless I feel like sharing my idea here:
The name is heartbeat and it would be a service/software that allows people to store, create and present files related to their identity, digitally, indefinitely. Why?
As I think I’ve wrote before I believe that the best way to leave this earth is to leave something behind that lasts. Something that people can look at and potentially take benifit from in the future. This is the reason I want to create heartbeat.
Promises/project goals:
- Long lasting (400+ years ~ 5 lifetimes at least)
- Highest privacy and security messurements and control
- One-time payment for all time (not more than 150 USD)
- No ads or affiliations on the site/service
- Easy and intuitive UI and UX
Well this sounds all complicated and difficult to achieve right? I think so at least. Anyway, I’ll try and make it happen one day – somehow. How do I think this project would start?
The mockup (concept)
First I would need there to be a proper look at the concept. I would create a “landing page” for the service detailing all promises and showing how it would work and look like for a first draft as a visual proof of concept.
Then I would look for funding options to see how viable it would be to run this service – looking more into options to ensure that the one-time payment from the users will guarante their files persistence over the time (~400 years for now).
Any ideas for funding?
Yes. There are some ideas. One of them would be to invest the users payment in a safe way that would guarante a return that would sustain their serverspace’ costs.
Then there would be the idea to have it run on Blockchain technology- difficult because of speculation and my current lack of hands-on knowledge about the topic in terms using something existing or creating ones own blockchain-based service.
But these are just some of the ideas for now. The goals and promises won’t change. Just the method on which it would be executed.
Design, what do you think?
I know the rough layout and most of the design elemtents I would want to use for the website/service.
It should be minimalist-modern. Full-width layout with shapes and (maybe) some very sublte animations. Color-scheme would be purple with a darker redish-pink.
It should default to dark-mode but also be availiable in light mode and potentially also some variations of them.
The icon would be a simplified clipart of a human heart with a cardiac beat symbol embeded with it. The text would be simple (no extra fancy fonts or incredible styling).
So this would be it for now. I won’t detail any further plans in this post but I’ll try on actually working on that said conecpt mockup landing page for heartbeat
