Mount Fuji in Japan

I decided to got to Japan

Hello again. So not too long ago I decided to go to Japan. Why? Well there are several reasons for that I suppose..

First of all I really like traveling and this has unfortunatly been one thing I wasn’t able to do very much in the last 2 years. Making the decision on going somewhere completly foreign to me all by myself seemed like another great idea to challenge myself and to get to know a different part of the world first hand.

And of course the obvious, I lately found myself being really interested in the Japanese language, the country and it’s cultur. It seems to be quite different from where I am from so this comes to me as rather an adventure.

I will also try to take as good looking pictures as this one when I’m there

This whole trip will be an adventure, even before it officially beginns. Right now it is unclear wheter or not I will even be able to go to Japan in the first place. I booked the tickets (did some research and booked directly from a well-known – and I suppose trustworthy – Airline) for a very cheap prize relative to the distance (both flights over 14h with one stop each) but the current situation doesn’t even allow me or most other people to even go to Japan because of the still ongoing ‘rona situation in the entire world.

But there is a lot of hope!

As you can make out numbers have “flattlined” for the past 2 months which is a good thing going forward

I am hoping to be able to travel to Japan next year from March to April. My rough layout and plan is to visit the country and it’s interesting culture for the span of 5 weeks during which I plan to be spending the first and last week of my trip in Tokyo and visit various other places of the country during the 3 weeks in between via Shinkansen an more.

Two Shinkasen (name for the Japanese Bullet Train) at a station

I am very much looking forward to this almost once of a lifetime trip and hope to be able to take away many great experiences from that trip. The chance that it won’t be able to travel there because of the everchanging ‘rona situation around the world is still very much there but like I said I am hopeful when it comes to this.

The only things that are left for me are to make sure I go there as prepared as I can (yes I will have to reherse and improve my japanese a lot more before that) and to make sure I have a solid enough plan on where to go and what to do which, oh boi this is something I will have to spend days on!

Anyway, enough for today. As always I probably couldn’t share everything I wanted to share and writing these posts always feels like I am missing out on putting forward 14 different things but yeah, I hope you got the essentials.

See you around for next time!
